Zaixing Sun is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at Pengcheng Laboratory, Shenzhen, China. He received the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Technology from Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen in 2024, the M.Eng. degree in Control Engineering from Kunming University of Science and Technology in 2019, and the B.Eng. degree in Electrical Engineering and Automation from Luoyang Normal University in 2016. From 2023 to 2024, he was a visiting student with the Evolutionary Computation Research Group, Centre for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence & School of Engineering and Computer Science, Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand.

His research focuses on workflow scheduling, resource allocation, and intelligent optimization for cloud/edge/fog computing, computing power networks, and smart manufacturing systems. Methodologically, he is interested in evolutionary machine learning, genetic programming hyper-heuristics, cooperative coevolution, multitask optimization, Bayesian search, deep reinforcement learning, and metaheuristic optimization. He has published 11 first-author papers, including 5 papers in CCF-A venues or CAS Q1 journals (4 Top journals) and 1 paper in a leading Chinese journal. He is the principal investigator of a China Postdoctoral Science Foundation project and a core member of a major research project at Pengcheng Laboratory. He received the Outstanding Ph.D. Dissertation Award from the Heilongjiang Computer Federation.
